THE STUDIO AT PENRALLT :

The Studio at Penrallt is owned by Helen Beazley, artist and author (the writer of the Lavender Road series - written as Helen Carey) and her husband, Marc Mordey.

We aim to provide unique art at affordable prices.

Helen's art is based on her interest in wildlife, architectural detail - particularly old buildings, and an abstract vision of the beautiful places in Wales and beyond. Helen has sold her work in London, USA, South America and, of course, Pembrokeshire.

Marc specialises in quirky photographs and photocards which he sells under the Reasons to be Cheerful label. He has a range of unusual views of the area and aspects of Pembrokeshire life.

NEW FOR 2009 "Have a go" days: family painting days.

We are keen to spread the appreciation and enjoyment of art, so we are offering families or small groups (max 6) to "have a go". With Helen's guidance, participants will have a chance to do sketching in the morning, and then in the afternoon to create their own canvas in the Studio at Penrallt. If the weather is fine we may roam out into our fields or onto nearby Carningli mountain to seek inspiration. We suggest bringing a picnic lunch. Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be provided. Limited to Tuesdays and Wednesdays, at £30 per head (materials included), the "have a go" days will start at 11 am and finish at about 4 pm. The atmosphere will be fun and informal, and everyone will come away with their own personal work of art.
